Howard Phillips
in behalf of
The Conservative Caucus Foundation,
and the U.S. Taxpayers Alliance
cordially invites WorldNetDaily readers to join him on a Far East Geostrategic Adventure to Hong Kong, Shanghai, Beijing, Singapore and Taipei to help gain an informed perspective on whether the People’s Republic of China is America’s Strategic Partner, Strategic Competitor, or Strategic Adversary

August 17-28, 2001

Trip Information 540-743-2159

You are cordially invited to join Howard Phillips on an exciting 12 day geopolitical, economic, and scenic tour to visit key locales, secure first hand information and meet some of the people shaping the future of the Far East.

During our tour, you will get an up close look at what’s really going on in one of the most strategically significant and potentially volatile regions of the world.

You will visit five of the most important cities in Asia: Hong Kong, Shanghai, Beijing, Singapore and Taipei.

Howard Phillips, your host, has extensive experience leading delegations of concerned Americans on timely missions to geopolitical crisis points and historic venues: Croatia, Serbia, Romania, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Germany, France, Liechtenstein, Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Poland, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, Paraguay, Costa Rica, Honduras, Guatemala, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Panama, South Africa, Nambia, Liberated Angola, as well as to Hong Kong and Taiwan.

At each stop along the way, you will be a full participant in meetings with key decision makers, analysts, and activists.

In Hong Kong, you will hear and see firsthand the changes wrought since the 1997 surrender of the British Colony to the Red Chinese.

Shanghai, the legendary city made famous by "Terry and the Pirates", is leading the way in luring western capital to the People’s Republic of China. You will receive expert analyses on recent developments in US-China trade relations.

In Beijing, in addition to some spectacular sightseeing, you will have the chance to secure a firsthand sense of what the leaders of Communist China have in store vis-à-vis the rest of Southeast Asia and the United States.

Singapore has been hailed as the Far East’s great success story, having (through tough anti-crime policies) virtually eliminated problems of drugs and other public misconduct. The Singapore economy is thriving and the leader of Singapore, Lee Kuan Yew, Singapore’s dominant political figure, has been viewed by experts throughout the world as the wisest observer of long term trends in Asia: financial, political and military.

The tour concludes with two days in the capital city of the Republic of China on Taiwan, a formerly Japanese occupied island, which became the homeland for those fleeing Communist victories in mainland China and which now features one of the world’s greatest democratic success stories.

General Douglas McArthur referred to Formosa (Taiwan) as being akin to a giant aircraft carrier floating in the Pacific.

So long as the people of Taiwan maintain a significant measure of political independence from Beijing, there are limits to the fulfillment of what many believe are the quasi-imperial objectives of the Beijing regime.

At a time when crucial decisions are being made about U.S. policy toward Beijing and Taipei, our visit could not be more timely in enabling you to form your own conclusions about what appropriate U.S. policy ought to be.

On our twelve-day journey, except where noted, your single tour fee covers meals, guided bus tours, airfare and your stay at four-and five-star hotels.
