After thousands of dollars of destruction and looting occurred on Sunday night, Chicago’s Mayor Lori Lightfoot is finally asking President Trump for federal assistance in quelling the violence, but only if it is directed towards “federally licensed gun dealers.”
“This is not legitimate 1st Amendment-protected speech,” Mayor Lightfoot said, “These were not poor people engaging in petty theft to feed themselves and their families. This was straight up-felony, criminal conduct.” Yet Lightfoot wants to focus on the harassment of law-abiding businessmen, not the criminals.
